A named former inmate’s account

In April 2026, former Bryan inmate Jen Shah told PEOPLE that Maxwell received private workouts, special meals, bottled water and exceptions to ordinary legal-call scheduling. Shah said she worked in recreation and personally handled equipment for Maxwell’s late-night exercise. BOP disputed preferential treatment and cited its employee-conduct rules and internal investigation procedures.
