Production goal: every important assertion should ultimately point to exact document ID and page, not just a webpage.
Make difficult records searchable without weakening the evidence standard
DOJ warns that handwritten and scanned Epstein materials may be unsearchable or return unreliable search results. This module records OCR confidence, visual verification, redaction status and lawful alternate sources.
Machine transcript
Every scanned page can carry an OCR confidence score. Names, dates, dollar amounts and unusual terms receive stricter verification because a single character error can create a false connection.
No hit ≠ evidence of absence
If a collection is partly unsearchable, a failed text search is stored as a negative search result—not as proof that a name or event does not appear.
Audit, don't expose
We can compare duplicate public versions, court dockets and lawful parallel releases. We do not publish hidden victim identifiers, grand-jury material, protected personal identifiers or information covered by court orders merely because a PDF was poorly redacted.

Access Hollywood recording
Trump was recorded describing initiating kissing without waiting and grabbing women by the genitals. He later characterized the remarks as locker-room talk.
E. Jean Carroll civil verdict
A federal jury found Trump liable for sexually abusing Carroll and defaming her. This is a civil liability finding, not a criminal conviction.

The Second Circuit upheld admission of the Access Hollywood recording and other-act testimony as relevant evidence in the Carroll litigation.
Backstage statements
Trump's recorded statements about entering pageant dressing areas belong in the broader conduct chronology, separately from individual contestant allegations.
Keep the bridge explicit
Broader sexual-misconduct evidence does not prove an Epstein-specific act. An Epstein connection requires its own evidence object.
Evidence in both directions
Statements favorable to a subject, such as Sjoberg saying she never massaged Trump, are preserved alongside allegations.
Claims and counter-evidence by person
Every major person gets the same structure: documented relationship, victim/witness claims, denials, legal outcome, evidence favorable to the person, unresolved questions, and source trail. “No claim found” means only that our current reviewed sources did not identify one.

How often is each person mentioned?
A single universal count would currently be misleading. DOJ warns that portions of the library are not electronically searchable and may produce unreliable search results. Counts below therefore distinguish verified subset counts, qualitative published counts, and counts still awaiting a reproducible full-corpus index.

1. Deduplicate
Identical/repeated documents should not inflate importance.
2. Resolve aliases
Full names, initials, nicknames, OCR variants and misspellings are merged only when identity is clear.
3. Count by evidence type
Separate email mentions, flights, photos, financial records, witness statements and news clippings.
Photographs as evidence of time, place and association
The app treats photographs narrowly: they can establish who was photographed together, where, and when. They do not prove criminal knowledge or conduct. Rights are reviewed image-by-image before republication.

Trump pageant statements and contestant accounts
This module keeps Trump's recorded statements, contestant allegations, counter-evidence and corrections together. It does not treat pageant evidence as Epstein evidence unless a direct documented bridge is established.
Trump — Howard Stern, April 2005
Trump described going backstage before pageants while contestants were dressing and said his ownership allowed him to enter and “inspect.” The exchange concerned Miss USA/Miss Universe contestants, not Miss Teen USA.
Mariah Billado — Miss Vermont Teen USA, 1997
Billado alleged Trump entered the dressing room while teen contestants were changing. She recalled rushing to put on her dress and remembered Trump making a remark to the effect that he had seen it all before.

Three other contestants initially gave similar accounts anonymously; later reporting described another corroborating account. Eleven contestants contacted in the original reporting did not recall seeing Trump enter or doubted/rejected that it occurred.
Tasha Dixon — Miss Arizona USA, 2001
Dixon alleged Trump entered while contestants were changing into bikinis, including women who were topless or naked, and said staff subsequently encouraged contestants to approach him.

The Guardian reported a second contestant, unnamed, who alleged Trump entered a dressing area despite security being told contestants were naked and stood looking at them.
Trump campaign response
The campaign denied the Teen USA allegations and said they had been disproved. PolitiFact found contestants who disputed or did not remember the event, but said the campaign had not supplied evidence demonstrating that the allegations had been disproved.
How the Explorer avoids turning evidence into accusation
The project is designed to expose the record, not to manufacture conclusions. The disclaimer is important, but it is not a substitute for verification. Our main protection is disciplined sourcing, accurate status labels, context, corrections, and equal treatment.
Connections mean only what the source proves
A photograph can establish presence together. A flight log can establish travel. A payment can establish a transaction. None automatically establishes knowledge of abuse or participation in a crime.
Claim status is always visible
Unadjudicated allegations remain allegations. Withdrawn, contradicted, retracted, or weakly sourced claims are marked accordingly. We do not upgrade a claim because it fits a theory.
Civil ≠ criminal
Civil liability, settlements, regulatory findings, criminal charges, guilty pleas and criminal convictions are stored as different evidence classes.
Denials and favorable evidence remain attached
When a subject denies an allegation, or when testimony cuts against a theory, that information remains linked to the same record.
Protect identities by default
Public victim records use neutral identifiers unless a survivor has clearly made their identity public and inclusion is necessary. Protected personal information and explicit imagery are excluded.
Fair use is reviewed image-by-image
17 U.S.C. §107 recognizes fair use for purposes including criticism, comment, news reporting, scholarship and research, but courts weigh four statutory factors case-by-case. Widely circulated does not mean public domain.
Lawful comparison, not exposure
Duplicate public releases may be compared. We do not publish protected victim identifiers, grand-jury material, sealed information or other protected content merely because a redaction was technically defective.
Machine text is not the source
OCR is a search aid. Names, dates, dollar amounts and material quotations should be checked against the underlying page image before they become evidence objects.
Every substantive correction should remain traceable
Material corrections should record what changed, why, when, and which evidence caused the revision. Silent rewriting weakens trust.

The index is relevance-based rather than celebrity-based. Being listed does not imply wrongdoing. Names are included when primary or court records make them useful to understanding Epstein's operations, victims, legal history, money, travel, properties or social network.

Epstein assistant/employee. Named in the 2007 NPA among potential co-conspirators; civil filings cite travel with Maxwell/Giuffre and Fifth Amendment testimony.
Nadia Marcinkova
Epstein associate/employee. Named in the NPA; court filings cite message pads, aircraft travel and Fifth Amendment testimony.

What's Missing?
This layer does not claim that every absent record is being improperly withheld. It tracks records that reporting, indexes, prior disclosures, agency references or investigative history give us reason to expect. Each gap gets its own status and explanation.
Who moved people, money, schedules and information?
This view prioritizes operational relevance over fame. It asks what each person actually did, what primary records place them in the system, and what remains unknown.
Larry Visoski
Epstein's longtime pilot. In sworn testimony he identified Sarah Kellen and Nadia Marcinkova as the two most frequent travelers with Epstein during the prior decade.
David Rodgers
Pilot whose flight logs became important evidence. A court filing later argued the Rodgers logs were incomplete compared with other flight records.
Kathryn Ruemmler
Former Obama White House counsel and later Goldman Sachs general counsel. 2026 reporting says DOJ records showed gifts from Epstein and advice to him on handling media inquiries about his crimes.
Scott Borgerson
Former husband of Ghislaine Maxwell. Financial and property records became relevant to Maxwell's hidden New Hampshire residence and asset structure.

Reuters reported UBS transferred nearly $8 million for Maxwell shortly before the purchase of her New Hampshire hideout, despite a prior subpoena for her financial records.
Julia Molchanova
Former Epstein assistant and survivor who later became the lead Jane Doe in litigation against Bank of America. Recent reporting describes her account of coercion and use of a shell company in her name.
Southern Trust → Charles Schwab → Marrakesh
DOJ-released records reviewed by Reuters show that in the ten days before Epstein's July 2019 arrest, Charles Schwab moved about $27.7 million in attempted payments tied to a planned palace purchase in Marrakesh through accounts for Epstein company Southern Trust. Schwab filed a suspicious-activity report after the arrest.
Presence evidence beyond flight logs
A federal records request sought calendars, meeting notes, property-travel records, and event/meal receipts involving Epstein or Maxwell. This gives the Explorer a stronger presence model: a person can be linked to a place through independent record types rather than a single flight-log dataset.
Searchability itself is a research limitation
DOJ warns that portions of the Epstein Library—especially handwritten or unusually formatted material—may not be electronically searchable or may return unreliable results. A zero-result name search therefore cannot be treated as proof that a name does not occur.
Zorro Ranch: federal records request
A released federal request sought calendars/notes of meetings with Epstein or Maxwell, documents reflecting travel to Zorro Ranch and Epstein's other properties, and receipts/tickets for events or meals involving them. This is useful because it shows investigators were trying to reconstruct property presence from records beyond flight logs.
Zorro Ranch: 13,000+ references
New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez said in July 2026 that open-source Epstein materials reference Zorro Ranch more than 13,000 times, but many records are redacted in whole or part, limiting identification of potential leads.
Unverified burial allegation
New Mexico opened an inquiry after a released 2019 FBI-related record contained an allegation from a purported former ranch employee that two foreign girls had been buried near the ranch. The allegation is unverified and should remain quarantined from established facts unless physical or documentary evidence corroborates it.
Julia Molchanova / JSC Interiors
Recent reporting describes former assistant and survivor Julia Molchanova saying a shell company called JSC Interiors was created in her name. This gives us a concrete entity to trace through incorporation records, banking, invoices, counterparties and property expenses.
DOJ / FBI Public Statement Audit
This layer tracks major verified public statements about Epstein/Maxwell by DOJ and FBI officials, organized by administration. Each statement is tied to the original source, then checked against later primary records. Every statement is split into the smallest checkable factual claims and marked TRUE or FALSE. When the evidence is insufficient, the display says UNKNOWN. When a node has not yet been researched, it says a separate red DEVELOPMENT NOTE.
Statements by every party — checked the same way
The rule is deliberately simple: break a statement into atomic factual claims. Mark each claim TRUE or FALSE. If the public record cannot answer it, mark UNKNOWN. If research has not yet reached a field, show a red DEVELOPMENT NOTE such as “Information coming” or “Information unavailable from current sources.” Development notes are not evidence-status labels.
