2021–2022: Conviction and 20-year sentence

A federal jury convicted Maxwell on December 29, 2021, of offenses including sex trafficking of a minor and trafficking conspiracy. Judge Alison J. Nathan sentenced her to 240 months in prison on June 28, 2022, in Manhattan federal court.
